DanNewlands
Dan leads VFX and CG work from early conversations and on set problem solving through build, lighting and final delivery. His focus is the useful intersection of creative direction and technical reality. That is where most good shots actually get made.
As part of daytwo’s longstanding collaborative team, he works directly with specialist editorial, 2D, 3D and pipeline artists. The structure stays lean, the senior people stay on the work, and information does not need six meetings to reach the person doing the shot.
Alongside traditional CG supervision, Dan is closely involved in AI led film, television and commercial projects, developing hybrid workflows that can move quickly without handing creative decisions to a slot machine.
